APPLE CIDER VINEGAR IN THE MORNING

The new go-to morning tonic is a shot of apple cider vinegar diluted in warm water and some honey for sweetness.

 

Drinking one tablespoon of ACV in the morning diluted in water can help support the health of your gut. You can also use diluted ACV to wash your fruit and veggies to rid harmful chemicals and it is even used as a dressing for your salad.

 

Consuming a tablespoon of ACV (in a cup of warm water with a spoon of raw honey added) in the morning will help with hydration. It’ll also help clear out harmful cells that can damage your skin.  ACV is a fantastic face toner when diluted 50/50.

 

One study has shown that drinking apple cider vinegar improved cholesterol, HDL, and LDL cholesterol levels over eight weeks – how amazing is that!

 

It will help slow down the rate that sugar is absorbed in the body too. This can increase the feeling of being full and is helping people to eat less. It is in the morning when you set your blood-sugar control for the entire day, so drinking diluted ACV first thing sets you up for a more metabolically balanced day and may assist in weight loss and energy gain.

 

KNOW YOUR ACV

 

Not all apple cider vinegars are created equal. Look for an organic, raw vinegar that contains the mother (the mother is the starter containing yeasts and good bacteria). It should look cloudy and contain pieces of the mother with an overall orange/yellow appearance. Pasteurized, filtered or otherwise processed varieties kill off the good bacteria, therefore there is less benefit to your body. MY EXPERIENCE WITH ACV

 

We have been making ACV from a very young age on our farm situated in the Garden Route, SA. The process is a very long, labour-intensive process but worth all the time and effort. My Mother started using ACV before I even considered it and her results were amazing. Her energy levels increased, her eczema disappeared and she lost 30kgs over 12 months.  Seeing the difference in her energy levels and over all health got me into the process of making ACV and I made it my morning routine to have a cup with warm water and honey. It took a while to adjust to the taste but after my first month of drinking it every day I actually started to enjoy it and now I can’t start my day without it. ACV has personally helped me with all my stomach issues as well as my skin. I get hormonal acne and I have been drinking ACV in warm water and honey every morning as well as using it on my skin diluted and it seems to make my skin soft and takes away the inflammation too. Remember to always take ACV internally as well as externally for best results in your skin.

Apple cider vinegar diluted with water is a great toner that supports the proper pH balance of the skin. It’s also an awesome hair rinse relieving itchy, dry scalp while making hair shiny and soft.
